Sky Sports led tributes to Cristiano Ronaldo ahead of Manchester United's clash against Liverpool on Tuesday evening.
Ronaldo missed the clash after the tragic death of his baby son with the star forward releasing a statement on Monday evening.
And as part of their coverage, Sky host Kelly Cates issued a statement before the game.
She said: "Cristiano and his partner Georgina Rodriguez announced the death of their new born soon. It's hard to know what to say in such circumstances but of course we want to and our best wishes to the family."
While Manchester United boss Ralf Rangnick said in his pre-match interview: "I have two sons myself so I am fully aware what that means. We are all with him and we are all behind him and we wish him and his family that they are strong together."
Ronaldo said in his statement: "It is with deep sadness we have to announce that our baby boy passed away.
"It is the greatest pain that any parent can feel.
"Only the birth of our baby girl gives us the strength to live this moment with some hope and happiness."
