Sky Mobile offers £11 laptops to customers with UK's 'first' rollover data plan

Tech giant Sky, which offers TV, phone and broadband, has added laptops to its list of devices. Sky Mobile customers can now get their hands on a laptop with its own data and sim plan, meaning users won't have to connect to Wifi hotspots to get internet access.

Prices for a brand new laptop start from just £11 a month, available on the Sky website. Flexible payment plans are also available to ensure customers can access "quality technology" at affordable prices.

Sky has said it is the first network to provide rolled over data plans on connected laptops. This means any unused data is put into customers' Sky piggybanks, so it can be saved and used again on both phone and laptop devices.

Existing users can dip into their data savings when they need a boost, share it with other SIMs on their account, or put it towards upgrades and accessories. Customers can choose from four new Samsung connected laptop models with more set to become available later this year.

Among the selection includes the Chromebook GO LTE, Chromebook2 360 LTE, as well as two Windows laptops, the Galaxy Book2 Go 5G and the premium Galaxy Book3 Pro 360 5G.

Sky Mobile promise no mid-contract price rises and existing customers can upgrade without waiting until their current contract ends. To upgrade, simply visit the Sky website here and select which device and payment plan to sign up for.

Customers can choose either a 24 or 48 month payment plan at 0 percent interest, with each laptop's monthly cost varying from model to model.

Paul Sweeney, Managing Director of Sky Mobile said: "We want to help our customers get access to the best technology at prices that are affordable.

"Customers will now be able to get the same great Sky Mobile benefits like Roll and Mix on their laptop devices, where they won’t lose any of the data they’ve bought, and can change their data plan up or down to suit their needs, offering flexibility and great value without having to compromise on the quality of the tech.”
