Sky is giving away free months of free broadband in BT and Virgin price war

A brand new Sky deal has just dropped which will mean householders won't have to pay a penny for broadband. The TV giant has just announced the launch of the new offer that beans broadband into homes for free.

The free internet offer involves Sky's Superfast broadband service which offers average download speeds of 59 mb/s, and the ability to download Netflix shows and others in ultra HD and 4k thanks to its unlimited data usage.

Sky's Speed guarantee also comes with the incentive, meaning users will be able to claim a month's subscription fee back if their speed falls below their minimum guaranteed speed.

To get the free broadband, which lasts for a total of three months, all new or existing Sky customers have to do is sign up to Sky Broadband Superfast on an 18-month contract. Once that initial period has ended, anyone signing up for the plan with then pay £30.50 for the remaining 15 months.

Even though there is a fee to pay it's still a cheap deal from Sky, especially when comparing to the likes of Virgin Media and BT. Virgin Media is currently charging £34 per month for its 50Mbps service and BT customers pay £30.99 for similar speeds.

Customers who sign up to the Sky deal will also receive Wall to Wall Wi-Fi guarantee. This means those who are signed up to Sky's Superfast 35, Superfast, Ultrafast, Ultrafast Plus or Gigafast broadband, are entitled to Wi-Fi in every room, or they'll get one month’s free broadband subscription.

Covering up to five bedrooms or 12 rooms, Sky Broadband’s Wall to Wall Wi-Fi guarantee is the only no added cost money back Wi-Fi guarantee offered by any mainstream ISP and a market-first for broadband providers.

Should your broadband connection not reach minimum speeds in every room, Sky Broadband’s Wi-Fi experts will work with you to troubleshoot the issue in detail, so you can continue to game, work, stream, entertain and connect smart devices in every room of your home, or get one month of your subscription for free.

Aman Bhatti, Director of Propositions at Sky said: "At Sky Broadband we're committed to offering great value, while keeping you connected to the things you love. Our summer of free broadband will help to save our customers money, whilst also making sure our broadband works harder, with our new Wall to Wall Wi-Fi guarantee.

"We know this is a difficult time for households and these changes are just the first step in supporting our customers at this time."
