Police officers said the death of a one-year-old boy at a nursery in the West Midlands is being treated as suspicious.
Six women have been arrested after the boy died at the premises on Bourne Street, Dudley, on December 9, 2022. Three woman, aged 20, 23 and 50, were arrested on December 16 on suspicion of gross negligence manslaughter.
They were subsequently released on bail with strict conditions while enquiries continue, Birmingham Live reports.

A further three women, aged 51, 53 and 37,were arrested on January 4. Two were arrested on suspicion of corporate manslaughter and one on suspicion of gross negligence manslaughter.
West Midlands Police said the criminal investigation was launched following an inspection by Ofsted after the boy’s death. The nursery has been closed by Ofsted along with other linked premises.
The force said the boy's family is being supported by specially trained officers.
At the time, police said the boy was found to be in cardiac arrest when emergency service arrived. A post mortem has taken place but further tests will be conducted to establish the exact cause of death.
