A school is seeing double after welcoming six new sets of twins to their Year 7 classes after the students moved up from different primary schools.
The 11-year-old twins all joined the new Year 7 at the same high school after moving up from different primary schools.
Spitting images Elena and Isabelle Hall, William and Charlie Miles, Ethan and Ryan Murray, and Anwen and Carys Phillips are all identical twins.
And they have been joined by brother and sister twins Kimberley and William Thomas along with Cerys and Owain Williams.
Teachers at Ysgol Bro Gwaun school in Fishguard, Pembrokeshire, are working on telling them apart.
Emma Bowen, Head of Year 7, said she had known some of the youngsters before they started the new term.
She said: "It is quite amazing how quickly you get to pick up on little differences in their ways and mannerisms. They are a really happy bunch."
Five of the pairs were born in Pembrokeshire in 2010 when locals suggested there must have been "something in the water."
Their parents would meet up while they were babies and were even asked to stop clogging up a venue with double buggies.
The school says there were only four sets of twins in the whole school before the new additions joined.
Headteacher Paul Edwards said: "We are a relatively small school, and their year group is only 144 pupils. It's quite incredible.
"They have settled in well. They've been fantastic. We are beginning to tell the differences between them."
While the bumper crop of twins may seem like an unusual coincidence, it was by no means a new record for the number of twins in a school.
Back in 2016 the Mirror reported on a school in Rathfarnham, Dublin where out of around 470 pupils, 30 are twins.
The Divine Word National School also had a set of triplets at the infant school that same year.
The Guinness Book of World Records says the most twins in the same academic year at one school is 44 pairs at New Trier High School, in Winnetka, Illinois.
