Three sisters headed to Dublin for just five and a half hours on a night out after bagging £25 return Ryanair tickets while out in a bar.
Brogan Moore, 24, who works in customer services, from Huddersfield, was accompanied by her two sisters Amelia and Isabel, who are both 19 and work as cabin crew, on a spontaneous night out in the Irish capital.
The three of them caught their flight from Leeds Bradford Airport at 8.25pm in their outfits before trudging back to the airport at 4am am to get their 6am am flight home.
Brogan said: "It was so worth it. I'd give the night out an easy nine out of ten, and it's definitely something we'd all do again.
"We left our house at half six in the evening and arrived in the centre of Dublin at 10.30pm - it was a very heavy night.
"Over the course of the night, we all easily spent over £150. Our airport breakfast was very needed but very expensive at £50 for three meals.
"It was quite funny telling everyone we had to be back at the airport for 4.00am until we got in the taxi back. We spent a large part of the journey home not speaking as we were all trying not to be sick.
"To our surprise, we had no trouble getting back on the plane home and got back in bed at about 8,00 am which completely wrote off that day.
"I had no idea the video would blow up like that, so many people have been tagging their mates to do the same, so we've definitely inspired a few people."
The trend of jetting away on a day long holiday has been growing in popularity this year.
Two mums made headlines in January after they prepared their children's packed lunches before jetting off for the day on a 2,500-mile round trip - for just £23.
The best friends set off from Manchester to Lanzarote for a fun day out while documenting their travels on one of the pair's '0nlyMums' TikTok account.
The holder of the account said the trip involved a 9-hour excursion to the popular holiday destination in the Canary Islands to "blow off January blues."
One of the mums wrote: "Well my weekend's on the up because I’ve just booked a £23 flight to Spain for the day to blow off the January blues - me and the bestie - the packed lunch is made for the kids on Monday and I’ll be back at midnight!"
With flights costing just the price of a few pints, or less than a train from Liverpool to Sheffield, the mum mates enjoyed cocktails together and a swim on the beach.
One downside of flying away for a holiday lasting a few short hours is the impact doing so will have on the environment. Flying is one of the most polluting forms of travel.
If you are trying to minimise your impact on the environment but also want to head somewhere a plane's ride away, going on one holiday a year and staying in the destination for longer is a better move than multiple short trips involving flights.
Last year a woman told the Mirror how she managed to bag an extra long holiday at the expense of her work by signing up to a new eco-friendly scheme.
Amy Cameron managed to spend just 10 days of annual leave on a 12-day trip to Majorca because her company Glimpse is signed up to Climate Perks.
As she had foregone flights and booked herself onto a train instead, the creative ad agency agreed to extend her holiday with two extra paid days off.
The additional leave left the 36-year-old feeling like the extra cash she spent on the train over the cost of a flight was worth it, and not just because it's much better for the environment.
"You can actually enjoy the journey," Amy told The Mirror. "People make the mistake of swapping like for like and try and fire straight down to Barcelona on the train.
"You can do that, but I like to enjoy the journey. [My boyfriend and I] went in the evening from London to Paris, spent a night and had dinner there, and then went from Paris to Barcelona the next day where we had dinner before taking the overnight ferry to Majorca.
"We left on Thursday evening and arrived at 6am on Saturday. It was so nice.
"We turned the journey into part of the holiday. On the train from Paris to Barcelona we saw all the flamingos in the Camargue. There's also a restaurant car you can sit in."
