Sir Rod Stewart adds extra shows in Aberdeen and Glasgow as part of new arena tour

Sir Rod Stewart has added extra shows in Aberdeen and Glasgow ahead of his 2022 arena tour .

Avid Celtic fan Sir Rod recently released his 31st studio album The Tears Of Hercules and can't wait to play many of the new tracks live as well as his old classics.

As one of the best-selling artists in the history of recorded music, with an estimated 250 million records and singles sold worldwide, his performance will include fan favourites from across his impressive career including Maggie May and We Are Sailing.

He wrote nine of the new album’s 12 songs, including the first single, “One More Time” and “Touchline,” which he dedicated to his father, who taught him and his brothers to love football, a tradition Sir Rod has passed down to his sons.

He said of the album: “I’ve never said this before about any previous efforts, but I believe this is by far my best album in many a year.”

Rod, who was knighted by Prince William at Buckingham Palace for his services to music and charity in 2016, will play Aberdeen's P & J Live on 2nd December 2022 Aberdeen as well as an extra date in Glasgow's OVO Hydro on 3rd December 2022.

He also adds date in London's 02 on 25th November 2022 and Birmingham's UK Utilita Arena on 10th December 2022.

Tickets for the new dates go on general sale Friday 25th at 9am via LiveNation.co.uk
