Liverpool legend Sir Kenny Dalglish has issued a message to fans attending tonight’s Champions League match at Anfield.
The Reds take on Ajax in their second Group A fixture of the competition this term. Liverpool were beaten 4-1 by Napoli in their opening match of the tournament last week.
Before the match, there will be a minute’s silence following the passing of Queen Elizabeth II. All Premier League matches last weekend were postponed as a mark of respect for the Monarch, and tonight will see tributes at Anfield.

Liverpool asked UEFA for permission to commemorate the late Queen before their Champions League fixture. The club requested the chance to commemorate Queen Elizabeth II, who was on the throne for 70 years, after Saturday's meeting with Wolves was postponed.
The Hillsborough Survivors Support Alliance has called all Liverpool fans attending the match at Anfield against Ajax to observe the minute's silence. A publicly issued statement from the group has urged people to "show respect and observe the minute's silence".
“Everyone attending tonight’s match, please show respect and observe the minute's silence,” the statement read.
“You probably think that any backlash won’t affect you but it will affect us and family members with the increase in abuse over Hillsborough.
“Respect costs nothing and that goes both ways.”
In response to the post from the group, Dalglish has also urged fans attending tonight’s match at Anfield to show respect and observe the minute’s silence.
“Brilliantly put,” wrote Dalglish. “I hope everybody at Anfield can respect these wishes tonight.”
