Sir Keir Starmer has said that the “desperately depressing situation in Ukraine” is going to “change politics for a long time to come”.

The Labout leader was reflecting on Russia’s invasion of Ukraine anod how the UK should offer support to refugees at the launch of his party’s campaign for May local elections at the Greenwood Centre in north west London.
