Sir Jim Ratcliffe has responded to calls for him to buy Manchester United from the Glazers.
The multi-billionaire made his fortune in the chemicals industry and is the chief executive of Ineos. Fans were shocked to hear that the boyhood United supporter was looking to buy Chelsea following Roman Abramovich's decision to sell the Blues.
Supporters urged Ratcliffe to buy United from the Glazer family. However, in an interview with the BBC, he explained why he has not made a bid.

Ratcliffe explained: "You know, I have a split allegiance, effectively, really. When I was in London for many many years, Chelsea I could go and watch, it was quite difficult to go and watch United. Yes, I mean, I can understand that (the calls for him to buy United) but Manchester United is not for sale."
United fans protested against the ownership of the Glazers on Monday night when they conducted a walkout in the 73rd minute of the victory over Brentford. Numerous protests have taken place in recent weeks as fans look to voice their displeasure at the way their club is being run.
