Nivea has leukaemia

Grammy-nominated singer Nivea is battling leukaemia.

The Laundromat hitmaker - who was nominated for the Best R+B Performance prize at the 2003 Grammy Awards for her song Don't Mess with My Man - revealed she was diagnosed with the disease earlier this year when asked what she is most thankful for and she chose the fact her treatment is going well so far.
