A 51-year-old Mexican national who spent two years building a cross-border drug pipeline for the Sinaloa Cartel — hauling hundreds of pounds of methamphetamine and tens of thousands of pounds of marijuana into the United States — pleaded guilty in federal court on Tuesday, becoming the latest cartel operative to fall as federal prosecutors work methodically through the organization's ranks.

With sentencing locked in for February 2027 and the possibility of a life term on the table, the case adds another significant prosecution to a federal task force that has been advancing steadily against the Sinaloa network for months.
