A high-ranking member of the Sinaloa cartel, a notorious drug trafficking organization based in Mexico, has pleaded not guilty to charges of drug trafficking and murder conspiracy in a New York court.
The defendant, who has been identified as a longtime boss within the cartel, entered his plea during a court appearance in New York City. The charges against him stem from his alleged involvement in the trafficking of illegal drugs, as well as his purported role in conspiring to commit acts of violence and murder.
