Brits could save a fortune by not throwing away their old tellies and finding new uses for them, according to a home improvement expert. Victoria Kirk explained how easy it is to upgrade old sets and turn them into a retro smart TV.
Research conducted by Amazon shows nearly two thirds (63%) of us throw away one TV every year. But Victoria believes more of these tellies should be given a second chance with a Fire TV stick.
She said: “With a few simple steps, there’s no need to get rid of old plasmas, LCDs, or old-school boxes, with a simple, ultra-affordable upgrade that can refresh your old tech. Even if your TV doesn’t have a HDMI port, you can purchase adapters like DVI-to-HDMI cables, RF converters or HDMI scalers that will help you get access to all the benefits of a smart TV.
