Simon Jordan in brutal Rangers Champions League prediction as he asks 'where can they get points?'

Simon Jordan insists Rangers don't stand a chance of qualifying from their Champions League group as he asked: "Where can they get points?"

Giovanni van Bronckhorst watched on during his return to the Netherlands for the second time this campaign as Ajax ripped his Light Blues team apart to record an opening matchday 4-0 win. It was the second defeat by that scoreline in a matter of days for the Ibrox men after they were hammered by rivals Celtic in the Old Firm derby prior to the trip to Amsterdam.

Liverpool and Napoli are the other two teams in the section with the Serie A side putting down a major marker with a stunning 4-1 success over Jurgen Klopp's men. The outspoken talkSPORT host pointed to this result in his analysis of Rangers' section where he believes they will only pick up ONE point from the remaining five fixtures.

He believes the roaring atmosphere generated from the Rangers support will see them pick up a result in the reverse with Ajax or in the Battle of Britain clash with Liverpool - due to Scottish clubs usually getting good result against English opposition.

Speaking on talkSPORT, Jordan said: "You look at it and think 'where can they get points?'

"If you look at Napoli ripping Liverpool a new one, and Jurgen Klopp will probably say because they helped them do it.

"But notwithstanding that, if they go for Liverpool like that then they'll go for Rangers like that and you wonder where Rangers will get a point.

"They inevitably will because the Rangers crowd will kick in and be a factor.

"Maybe in the return game against Ajax, or they might have their moment in the Battle of Britain, as Scottish clubs usually do against English sides.

"But they are not going to qualify from this group, they were never going to qualify from this group.

"There was never a grown up conversation, with adults in the room suggesting Rangers would qualify."
