Arsenal fans have urged their club to sign PSV and Netherlands star Cody Gakpo after he scored once again at the World Cup.
The Gunners hold a long-term interest in Gakpo but a summer transfer was difficult to complete due to the player's desire to play regular football and boost his chances of featuring at the World Cup in Qatar, football.london understands. The Dutch star has now scored twice in two games after scoring against Senegal before opening the scoring against Ecuador this evening (Friday).
Arsenal are said to be keen on signing a new winger to add competition for Bukayo Saka in the January transfer window. The PSV star has attracted interest from Manchester United and Newcastle, with the Eredivisie outfit putting an asking price of £40million on their talented winger.
