Manchester United have been subjected to criticism and ridicule by many areas of the football community following their 4-0 loss to Liverpool.
Supporters, pundits and ex-players have all weighed in on their dismal outing after what was one of their worst performances in the modern era. Amongst all the jokes on social media, United may not have expected a fellow football club to get involved. Shrewsbury Town went viral after the League One outfit’s Twitter admin posted a comment that has received more than 180,000 likes and 31,000 retweets.

The Shrews lost 4-1 in the FA Cup third round at Anfield back in January. The EFL club even took the lead in the tie when Daniel Udoh netted on 27 minutes.
So, when a United fan suggested his team looked like Shrewsbury during the loss on Tuesday night, they were quick to fire back. “We are looking like Shrewsbury Town at Anfield," he tweeted. Shrewsbury replied: “We scored at Anfield this season. You didn’t. Levels.”
