We are officially at the time of the NBA offseason where there is precious little in the way of news to report. And in that vacuum comes analysis of the season to come, as well as campaigns past — particularly that trusty old battle axe, the trade proposal piece. One such piece recently posited the Boston Celtics trading reserve point guard Payton Pritchard to the Oklahoma City Thunder, bringing back a pair of players and some draft capital.
Given the Oregon native’s very public desire to be on an NBA roster that will let him see the floor more than he has in the last two seasons with the Celtics, it is understandable why people might be looking to flip the former Oregon Duck floor general.
The hosts of the “How Bout Them Celtics!” podcast recently linked up to talk over said proposal, sharing their feelings on if it makes sense for both sides and whether they would like to see Boston pull the trigger on such a swap.
Check out the clip embedded above to get their takes on this hypothetical trade.
