Shoppers at the Quayside MediaCity outlet centre were evacuated on Monday afternoon (June 19) after an alarm sounded.
Videos taken from outside the centre, formerly the Lowry Outlet Mall, show a crowd of customers and staff stood beside the doors after the fire alarm had gone off.
It has since been confirmed that the evacuation was sparked following a 'false alarm' that had been triggered in one of the retail units and that all those inside were ushered out as part of protocols.
