Revolution's 10% Niacinamide + 1% Zinc Blemish & Pore Refining Serum has been hailed by shoppers for its impact on acne-prone skin. The product is available on both Revolution's website or LookFantastic, which also stocks The Ordinary Niacinamide 10% + Zinc 1%, which is just £5.
The serum contains niacinamide and zinc, which both help to regulate the amount of oil produced by the pores on your face. Zinc also has calming and soothing properties, to help reduce the appearance of active blemishes.

On its website, Revolution said: "Revolution Skincare Blemish and Pore Refining Serum is a hero for oily, congested and blemish-prone skin. Using two skin-friendly ingredients, Niacinamide and Zinc, this lightweight and gentle serum helps to tackle blemishes and minimise the appearance of large pores.

However, not everyone has had the same results. One person said: "My skin has been a nightmare for a couple of years, hormonal cystic acne on my chin that doesn’t want to budge. I feel the oiliness of this serum added to the problem. But it does feel nice on the skin and if you’re not prone to clogged pores/acne it’ll work well" and another said: "Makes skin feel lovely and smooth but didn't really notice a difference blemish wise".
