New Zealand MP Golriz Ghahraman, the Green party's justice and foreign affairs spokeswoman, has resigned from parliament after allegations of shoplifting from an Auckland boutique.

Allegations of three separate thefts from Auckland and Wellington clothes outlets were aired in the past week by NZ media outlets.
