Beauty and makeup influencer Jaclyn Hill has revealed that she’s getting rid of the filler in her face after it migrated over time and created a “bulge” near her chin.
The 35-year-old shared the process of dissolving her dermal fillers Sunday in a TikTok video as she was about to get an ultrasound of her face.
“I’m convinced there’s migrated filler from when I had my smile lines done forever ago,” she said, pointing at the side of her face, right above her jawline. She believes the migration happened after losing weight “over the years.”
Her suspicions were confirmed by her doctor during the ultrasound.
“I knew this was filler migration. I'm not crazy,” she said during the appointment before adding while getting the filler dissolved, “I’m so happy right now.”
After the extra filler was dissolved, she looked in the mirror and argued that her face “looked so much better.”
“I feel like I've gotten so much filler throughout the years trying to achieve this look, and it's just, like, my natural look,” Hill said. “Incredible.”
The makeup artist explained in the caption that while she “never actually had filler put in that area” of her face, it’s “migrated there and created a bulge over the years.
“When I lost weight is when I started noticing it and it’s driving me crazy!” she wrote. “This is what happens when you fall into the 2016 trend of filling your face.”
According to the American Society of Plastic Surgeons, hyaluronic acid injectables are the most common types of fillers in the U.S. They are usually dissolved with the use of hyaluronidase, “an enzyme that breaks down the body's hyaluronic acid.”
Hyaluronic acid injectables are just one type of dermal filler, which aim to “plump up wrinkles, smooth lines and restore volume in your face,” according to the Cleveland Clinic. More than three million people choose to get dermal fillers in the U.S each year, the publication noted.
Along with her experience with face fillers, Hill has spoken openly about her weight loss journey. In May 2025, she shared a YouTube video about using GLP-1 medication — commonly used by people with diabetes to regulate blood sugar and reduce appetite, as well as slow digestion — for weight loss after struggling with different diets.
“I did heavy lifting, walking 10,000 steps a day. I tried cutting out carbs, and I would not even lose half a pound,” she said. “I’ve bawled my eyes out so many times, because I cannot lose weight.
“I have now been on this new GLP-1 for three weeks. I have now lost 10 pounds officially,” she said. Later in the video, she shared her results after three months on GLP-1, revealing she lost 20 pounds.
