Sheryl Crow recently released her new album, Evolution, which unfortunately did not make it onto the Billboard 200 chart this week. The Billboard 200 ranks the 200 most-consumed albums and EPs in the U.S. based on a combination of streaming and sales activity.
Despite not making it onto the Billboard 200, Evolution did debut at No. 24 on the Top Album Sales list, which focuses solely on album sales. The album sold 3,754 copies in the past tracking period.
This marks the first time in Crow's career that one of her studio albums has failed to make the Billboard 200. Her previous album, Threads, reached a high of No. 30 in the summer of 2019.
Throughout her career, Crow has had a total of 13 releases on the Billboard 200, with almost all of them being proper studio albums. She has achieved nine top 10 placements on the chart, with four of her albums peaking at No. 2.
Despite her success, Crow has never had a No. 1 album in the U.S. Now, with Evolution missing the chart entirely, it seems she may not have another opportunity to claim the top spot.
