A UK charity book club has raised £2 million for families affected by disasters and conflict, turning a shared love of reading into practical humanitarian support. Launched in 2018, the ShelterBox Book Club has welcomed more than 10,000 readers and sent 160,169 books to members across the country. The milestone highlights how an everyday activity can contribute to emergency relief while helping readers discover different cultures, understand unfamiliar experiences and connect with communities facing difficult circumstances around the world.
