She's in the mood for modelling - Coleen Nolan joins Tilletts as a brand partner

Online fashion retailer Tilletts has secured the services of former pop star turned ‘Loose Woman’ Coleen Nolan as a brand partner.

The television personality and author was attracted by the family business status of the rapidly growing Grimsby-area operation, and the affordability of the range.

A mother and daughters team, it clearly struck a chord with the woman who became a household name singing with her sisters in a career spanning three decades.

Highlighting how Tilletts help women build their confidence through the clothing, Coleen said she was “determined to show everyone Tilletts gorgeous summer pieces”.

The 57-year-old added: "I’m so excited to be partnered with Tillets clothing. They sent me their gorgeous summer range and I absolutely love all these pieces."

Launched in 2006 from a boutique in Cleethorpes’ Sea View Street, Tilletts now operates entirely online, from an expanded base on Wilton Road Industrial Estate, Humberston.

It is on target to hit sales of £5 million this year, with 30 staff now employed. It made the Lightning 50 list of high-growth e-commerce platforms last year.

Melanie Tillett, the matriarchal founder of the business, which evolved from a countryware sideline to her original cook shop, said: “We are so excited to have Coleen Nolan on board as a brand partner. We'd been thinking of doing a collaboration for a while with somebody who we thought would look and feel great in our clothes, and for us there was no-one more perfect than Coleen.

“She's a strong woman with a keen sense of style and we knew our ladies would just love having her on board. We hoped from this collaboration that Coleen would be able to assist in getting our name out there to the masses of women who feel completely ignored by the clothing industry and she is doing such a fantastic job at that already.

“We have seen so many new customers come through as a result of this and we are just incredibly happy and proud of how this campaign is unfolding.”

Since The Nolans - with whom she reached number three in the UK Singles Chart with I’m in the Mood for Dancing, recording a further six more top 20 hits - she has carved a career in television. She co-hosted This Morning, and became a regular panellist on ITV talk show Loose Women, clocking up 22 years with the show, as well as several reality television runs.
