Ernie Johnson, Shaquille O’Neal and Charles Barkley talk basketball and generate tons of laughter on NBA on TNT. But before getting into highlights from NBA games on Thursday, Johnson and O’Neal shifted the conversation from the hardwood to the gridiron, holding a brief exchange on if Georgia or TCU would win Monday night’s College Football Playoff national championship game.
Johnson attended Georgia while Shaq is a former LSU basketball star. Johnson thinks the Bulldogs will win the title game by more than 31 points, but immediately after, he predicted a final score of 45–17 in favor of Georgia, which is 28 points.
To Johnson’s projection of a blowout, Shaq made a hilarious wager, saying that if UGA defeats TCU, he would “eat some frogs.”
“I’ll eat a horned frog,” Shaq said.

But there is only one exception for the Hall of Famer. He wants the frogs to be cooked and fried. “I’ll eat a cook fried frog,” he added. On Wednesday, SI Sportsbook had Georgia as a 13-point favorite while the Horned Frogs were +370 moneyline.
TCU upset Michigan, 51–45, to continue its unforgettable season last Saturday. The Horned Frogs will seek to knock of the reigning national champion Bulldogs, which defeated Ohio State, 42–41, in Atlanta.
No. 3 TCU (13–1) vs. No. 1 Georgia (14–0) is scheduled for a 7:30 p.m. ET kickoff on Monday, Jan. 9. ESPN will broadcast the game.
