Chelsea are reportedly considering a move to hijack Arsenal's move for Mykhaylo Mudryk. The Shakhtar Donetsk winger looks almost certain to secure a move to the Premier League in January after becoming a priority signing by Mikel Arteta's side this month.
The Gunners have recently sent an improved offer worth around £62million for the 21-year-old after having an opening bid refuted. Arsenal are said to be desperate to sign a new attacker this month following the injury to Gabriel Jesus at the World Cup.
Todd Boehly is currently in the process of overseeing a major overhaul of Graham Potter's squad following a disappointing first half of the season. football.london understands that a forward, central midfielder, centre-back and right-wing-back are on the agenda in west London but they could now look to bolster the wide options in attack.

Reports from The Sun have claimed the Blues are looking to make a last ditch attempt to sign the Ukrainian forward. Whilst Arsenal remain the frontrunners after agreeing personal terms with Mudryk, Chelsea could beat their rivals to the deal should they meet Shakhtar's asking price with a bid in the region of £60million, with another £20million in potential add-ons.
Following reports that Chelsea had overnight talks with Benfica over their pursuit of Enzo Fernandez, the Blues could now be presented with a chance to fulfil their interest in Mudryk with Shakhtar's director Darijo Srna expected to visit Stamford Bridge.
According to Fabrizio Romano, Srna will be in London this week and will attend tomorrow's Premier League clash against Manchester City. It's said that the two clubs will conduct talks in the next 24 hours over a possible deal.
The talks could travel at speed after reports surfaced of Shakhtar's intentions to reject Arsenal's second bid. However, it remains unclear whether Boehly will spend an additional £60million-plus on a winger whilst in the process of coughing up over £100m to sign Argentina World Cup winner Enzo Fernandez from Benfica.
