Sevilla chief Monchi has refused to rule out a deal to keep Anthony Martial at the club beyond the end of his current loan move from Manchester United.
Martial, 26, asked to leave United on loan at the start of the year and was granted permission to join Spanish side Sevilla until the end of the campaign. The Frenchman hit the ground running with an instant impact for Julen Lopetegui’s side but has since experienced a torrid run of form since, which has seen him fail to score or grab an assist in his last 11 appearances.
Martial's rotten luck continued at the weekend when he was forced off through injury in Sevilla's 3-2 collapse against Real Madrid, and last week the forward admitted it would be 'very complicated' for him to remain at the club.

However, Sevilla sporting director Monchi appears to be more optimistic over extending his stay and insists the door is not closed on Martial playing for them next season.
“Martial is a magnificent player, he is very good, but he has arrived without knowing the language, the city… he has had injuries,” Monchi told Radio Sevilla.
“He has a high cost, because he cost €80m, and a very high salary, although we don’t have to pay for everything, because a good negotiation was made when we got his [loan] transfer. I don’t close the door to his continuity, although there are many things to see.
“Unfortunately, it is difficult to analyse Martial’s performances when he has been injured and now, he has been injured again.
“His loan deal has been less expensive than people think, but it is still an important bet. Nothing of six or seven million. He is a player who needs to be one hundred percent because of his muscles. Yesterday he was playing a good game [against Real Madrid].”
