Cornell University students organised a seven-hour sit-in for Wednesday, 7 October, in solidarity with a former student who alleges she was sexually assaulted by members of the Chi Phi fraternity in October 2024. The action formed part of 'Zero Day', a campaign calling on students to skip classes and stop spending on campus.

'Seven hours for the seven hours she endured. Seven hours of solidarity. Seven hours demanding change,' organisers wrote on Instagram. The sit-in was scheduled for 1.30pm to 8.30pm at Toni Morrison Dining Hall, with its duration chosen to reflect the period described in the woman's allegations.
