Serrated knife, balaclava and drugs found in car after Scots cops pull over driver

A huge serrated knife, a balaclava and drugs were discovered in car pulled over by police in Edinburgh. Road officers flagged down the vehicle in the Leith area before the driver provided a positive roadside test for cannabis and was found to be in possession of the drug.

A search of the vehicle also uncovered a large knife and balaclava. The driver was arrested and take into custody for a blood specimen to be obtained.

Officers say enquiries are ongoing regarding the knife. Road Policing Scotland took to social media at around 11.40pm on Saturday night to raise the alarm.

In the Twitter post, they said: " #EdinburghRP stopped a vehicle in Leith. The driver provided a positive @DrugWipeUK for Cannabis & was in position of Cannabis.

"During a search of the vehicle a large serrated knife & balaclava was found. Driver arrested, blood specimen obtained.

"Enquires ongoing regarding knife."
