A major Ayrshire road has been shut down by cops after a serious crash.
Emergency services are still at the scene on the A70 near to the Cattle Market and Dobbies Garden Centre.
Crews raced to the smash around 5.55am this morning.
Reports suggest one vehicle is involved in the collision.
The stretch of road between Ayr's Holmston Roundabout and Coylton is closed.
Local diversions have been put in place.
It is the second time this week that the road has witnessed a major crash.
Two women were rushed to hospital after a horror crash between a car and a lorry on Monday, outside Dobbies.
A spokesperson for Police Scotland said: "Emergency services are in attendance following a serious crash on the A70 westbound near Ayr, which was reported around 5.55am on Friday, 28 October, 2022.
"The road is closed between Holmston Roundabout and Coylton. Local diversions are in place."
Inrix reports: "A70 in both directions closed due to accident, one vehicle involved from Belston to A77 (Holmston roundabout). Traffic is coping well. Affecting traffic between Ayr and Coylton."
