An assault which left a man in hospital with "serious" injuries took place on Sunday evening at George's Dock.
A garda investigation into the assault has resulted in the Luas Red Line service being shut down between Connolly and the Point stations. A man in his 20s was taken to the Mater Hospital following the assault.
The scene is closed off this morning to allow a technical examination to take place. No arrests have been made but investigations are ongoing.

A spokesman said: "Gardaí are investigating an alleged assault which occurred at George’s Dock in Dublin on Sunday evening, 7th August 2022. A man, aged in his 20s, was later taken to the Mater Misericordiae Hospital where he is currently receiving treatment for serious injuries.
"A technical examination of the scene is underway this morning. No arrests have been made. Investigations ongoing."
The Luas has been closed all morning due to the ongoing investigation. The tram service tweeted: "Passengers, services on the Red Line are running from Tallaght/Saggart - Connolly only due to Garda directive. There is no service between Busáras - The Point. Luas tickets are valid on Dublin Bus. We apologise for any inconvenience caused."
