A senior SNP councillor has taken a swipe at the Scottish Government over funding delays for a children’s food programme.
Ricky Bell, treasurer of Glasgow Council, said he was “unclear” why the cash was not yet available. Glasgow Labour Group Leader George Redmond said: “This is a stunning revelation from the SNP City Administration.
“Given the scale of poverty in the city, it is truly astonishing there has been no commitment on this by the First Minister. Children in his constituency who are suffering from the cost of living crisis are being failed by it. Glasgow deserves better."
