Senate To Vote On Confirming Kristi Noem As Homeland Secretary

The Senate is scheduled to convene at 9:30 a.m. on Saturday to conduct important votes on key cabinet positions. The first order of business is the expected vote to confirm Kristi Noem as President Donald Trump’s secretary of homeland security at 11:30 a.m.

Following the confirmation vote for Noem, senators will proceed to take a procedural vote to break a filibuster on Scott Bessent’s nomination to be treasury secretary. This vote is crucial in moving forward with Bessent's confirmation process.
