President-elect Donald Trump's nomination of Pam Bondi for attorney general has garnered praise from several Senate Judiciary Republicans. Sen. John Cornyn, the senior member of the committee, expressed his approval of the nomination, calling it excellent and expressing his anticipation of working with her.
Sen. Josh Hawley, another committee member, also lauded Bondi's selection, describing her as a fabulous choice for AG and congratulating her as a friend.
Additional GOP senators have shared their thoughts on the nomination. Sen.-elect Bernie Moreno commended Bondi, predicting that she would be a fantastic Attorney General. He praised her as a true fighter who would address issues within the DOJ and work towards making the country great again.
Outgoing Sen. Mitt Romney, who had refrained from commenting on another nominee, expressed confidence in Bondi's capabilities. He highlighted her past service as Florida's Attorney General and endorsed her as a highly capable leader for the DOJ.
