Selena Gomez addresses Hailey Bieber feud as she returns to social media after break

Selena Gomez has admitted her “heart has been heavy” amid reports that she is locked in a feud with Hailey Bieber.

The actress, 30, announced at the end of last month that she was taking a break from social media after a brief and indirect back-and-forth between herself and the wife of her ex Justin Bieber, saying: “I’m 30 and am too old for this”

On Sunday, the Only Murders In The Building star made a surprise returned to TikTok with a beauty tutorial complete with a telling caption unrelated to the video’s content.

“Thank you and love you all so much. I’m deeply grateful for each and every one of you humans. You make me unbelievably happy,” she penned.

She added: “Please, please be kinder and consider others mental health. My heart has been heavy and I only want good for everyone. All my love.”

The post came just hours after it was alleged that Justin had “thrown shade”at her.

The Baby singer held a party over the weekend to mark his 29th birthday and although Gomez didn’t make the guest list, he appeared to reference her with the party favours he handed out on the day.

Guests were given a silver lighter engraved with the words: “I’m so thankful that I didn’t end up with what I thought I wanted.”

While he didn’t apparently offer any explanation behind the gift, fans were quick to assume it was a dig at his ex and branded the Canadian superstar “petty”.

Gomez and Justin dated on and off for eight years before ending things for good in 2018. Two months later, he got engaged to model Hailey, who he first dated in 2015 for about a month.

Fans have been pitting the two women against one another ever since and they have been accused of subtle criticism of each other.

Most recently, Hailey faced a backlash after footage resurfaced of her mocking Taylor Swift during the time she cohosted the show Drop The Mic.

Gomez, who is good friends with Swift, then commented on the video: “So sorry, my best friend is and continues to be one of the best in the game.”

Hailey then found herself being dubbed as a “mean girl” since she had also previously shared a TikTok video of herself with Kendall Jenner and Justine Skye lip-syncing to an audio saying: “I’m not saying she deserves it, but I’m saying God’s timing is always right.”
