Seek says its revenue grew 47 per cent to $1.12 billion in the 12 months until June, as a high demand for labour led to record job ad volumes in Australia and New Zealand and growth in other key regions.
The online job marketplace reported a full-year $245.5 million in net profit after tax, excluding "significant items" such as an $86.1 million loss on the $2 billion Seek Growth Fund.
Seek's full-year NPAT is up 81 per cent from fiscal 2021, but a bit less than consensus estimates of $250.7 million.
Chief executive and managing director Ian Narev said Seek registered record Australia and New Zealand ad volumes of 325,000 in March, but with unemployment at a record low, applications per job advertisement fell throughout the fiscal year.
Internationally, conditions improved in Mexico, but Brazil remained challenging.
In China, "intense" competition required a significant investment in marketing, causing earnings to fall.
At 10.48am (AEST) on Tuesday, Seek shares were down 1.9 per cent to $23.93.
The company predicted it would make $250 million to $270 million in NPAT on $1.25 billion to $1.3 billion in revenue in fiscal 2023.
"Economic and labour market conditions across our key markets remain positive, although some leading indicators look slightly weaker," Mr Narev said.
ANZ job ads moderated slightly in June and were stable in July, Seek said.
Seek said it was progressing on its "platform unification" program to integrate the Asian jobs boards it acquired years ago, JobsDB and JobStreet, into its ANZ website.
The project will be completed by the end of 2023/24, but costs have risen from $125 million to $180 million.
Seek declared a final dividend of 21 cents per share, fully franked, up from 20 cents a year ago.
