When the week began, there were 16 golfers who played for LIV Golf that teed it up at Royal Liverpool for the 151st British Open.
However, not all of them are going to play 72 holes.
There aren’t any LIV golfers in contention – only three are under par after 36 holes – but there are a handful who earned tee times for the weekend, including three past Open champions.
The low 70 players and ties made the cut at the British Open, with 76 advancing to the weekend. Brian Harman holds the lead at 10 under, five clear of the field.

Henrik Stenson (1 under)
Stenson, the 2016 champion at Royal Troon, was strong Friday with a 3-under round of 68 to be in the top 15 heading to the weekend.
Richard Bland (1 under)
The only other LIV golfer under par, Bland shot even-par 71 on Friday after an opening-round 70.
Laurie Canter (1 under)
Playing in the final game Friday, Canter was at 2 under for the tournament until a pair of late bogeys moved him to even-par 142 through 35 holes. However, he holed a birdie on the final hole to move to 1 under heading into the weekend.
Abraham Ancer (1 over)
Ancer has opened the Open with rounds of 72-71 and is safely on to the weekend.
Thomas Pieters (1 over)
Pieters opened with a 1-under 70, but he fell back shooting 2-over 73 on Friday.
Patrick Reed (2 over)
Reed, who shot 1 under Thursday and said it was the worst he could’ve shot, fell back Friday with a 74, but it’s enough for the 2018 Masters champion to play the weekend.
Louis Oosthuizen (2 over)
Oosthuizen, the 2010 Open champion at St. Andrews, shot 74 in the opening round but rebounded with a 70 on Friday to make the cut.
Cameron Smith (2 over)
Cam Smith was on the outside looking in until his second shot on the par-5 18th, which he hit to a couple feet and tapped in for eagle. Smith is the defending champion, having won the 150th Open last year at St. Andrews.
Bryson DeChambeau (2 over)
DeChambeau had three bogeys and three birdies on the back nine, but a terrific wedge shot into the 18th gave him a closing birdie and secured his spot to play the weekend.
Brooks Koepka (3 over)
There was plenty of excitement to end Brooks Koepka’s round, as he hit his second shot out of bounds on the final hole and had to scramble for a double to make the cut on the number. He shot 75 on Friday.
