Great solution here for Graham Gano and Kayvon Thibodeaux to turn their jersey number negotiation into a $50k donation to @pbborganization. https://t.co/N0LTE4NuLn

New York Giants first-round pick Kayvon Thibodeaux will wear the same number in the pros that he did in college, thanks to a financial arrangement for a good cause.
The No. 5 jersey was previously worn by Giants kicker Graham Gano, but in return for a $50,000 donation to the charity of his choice, Gano is giving it up to his team’s top draft selection.
Thibodeaux, the No. 5 overall selection in the 2022 NFL draft, will get to keep the number he wore throughout his dominant college career at Oregon, matching his draft slot.
