See inside stunning Dublin home designed by Dermot Bannon on the market for incredible price

A gorgeous Dublin home which was deigned by RTE's Dermot Bannon is on the market with a price tag of €495,000.

The property which is located in Ballybrack in Dublin was built in 1971 by Tommy and Ann Breen, and the couple raised their six children in the home and lived happily there for 40 years. After their children grew up and left home, Tommy’s health problems meant he needed a wheelchair, so they had to adapt the property to meet his requirements.

Dermot Bannon took on the whole job which is shown in series three, episode three of Room to Improve which aired back in 2009, entitled The House that Tommy Built. Dermot took on the challenge to breathe new life into the semi-detached home, adding a kitchen extension, wide front doors and a ramp for a wheelchair.

Dermot also converted the reception room to a large double bedroom with en suite facilities to make the entire downstairs accessible so Tommy would no longer need to use a chair lift to get up and down the stairs. The house was also extended to the side to create a bright, open plan family, kitchen and separate dining area.
