A NEW poll has predicted the outcome of each of Scotland's 57 Westminster seats up for grabs at the next General Election.
After the recent boundary changes, that stripped Scotland of two MPs, several seats in Scotland have changed names or geographical areas, and the latest YouGov poll, the most extensive survey undertaken by the firm in five years, has given the first projection for each constituency up for grabs in 2024.
The huge survey of over 14,000 people in the UK predicts a huge wipeout for the Tories and a majority for Labour, but Scotland, as always, has a slightly different picture ahead.
The SNP is almost neck and neck with Scottish Labour. YouGov predicts the pro-independence party is set for 25 seats, while 24 seats could be picked up by Scottish Labour, an increase of 22.
The majority of Scottish Labour seats predicted by the poll are gained from the SNP in the central belt, with others in Fife and Na h-Eileanan an Iar.
The Scottish Tories are also set to lose three of their seven seats, two to the SNP and one to Labour.
