Section of popular Ingoldmells beach on the market for £50,000

If you have ever had thoughts of owning your own bit of beach - perhaps with the idea of 80s film Local Hero in your mind, or even had a dream of re-enacting Castaway - then listen up. A stretch of beach in seaside town Ingoldmells is listed for sale and the stretch of Lincolnshire coastline can be bought for as little as £50,000.

Okay, so it might not be a tropical island - or even the best spot for the Northern lights - but it is some of the closest coastline to Nottinghamshire. Ingoldmells is around 82 miles from Nottingham city centre and could be reached, according to Google maps and depending upon traffic, in just over two hours.

So, just what could you buy? According to Lincolnshire Live, which first spotted the beach up for sale, there are seven plots available. Listed for sale on Rightmove, the most expensive has been valued at £250,000 - this is directly in front of Butlin's resort. However, prices start for £50,000.
