The urgent push to address the situation in Haiti comes amidst mounting pressure on Prime Minister Ariel Henry to either step down or agree to the formation of a transitional council.
The crisis in Haiti has been exacerbated by a series of attacks carried out by powerful gangs targeting key government installations. These attacks, which commenced in late February, have primarily targeted government buildings in the capital city of Port-au-Prince, resulting in a significant loss of life.
