Secondary schools across Scotland will be closed as teachers take part in a second day of strike action in a pay dispute on Wednesday.
It comes after last-ditch talks between the Scottish Government and the Scottish Negotiating Committee for Teachers (SNCT) failed to find a solution. Unions have demanded a 10% pay increase but the Scottish Government has offered 5%. This includes rises of up to 6.85% for the lowest-paid staff.
The latest day of action comes after NASUWT and SSTA members took two days of action in December and EIS members walked out on November 24. On Tuesday, Education Secretary Shirley-Anne Somerville told BBC Radio's Good Morning Scotland programme: "We'll continue discussions with the unions.
