Interim Matildas coach Tom Sermanni isn't surprised an experimental line-up struggled to create clear-cut chances in an unconvincing 3-1 win over Taiwan.

But he was delighted with three players scoring for the first time as an inexperienced and unfamiliar line-up returned Australia to winning ways on Wednesday night.
