Sebastien Pocognoli names his first Scotland starting XI

Sebastian Pocognoli has named his first Scotland starting XI.

The national team are in Ljubljana to take on Slovenia as their Nations League campaign begins.

Appointed as new head coach on an initial two-year contract in August, it is Pocognoli's maiden match in charge.

Slovenia sit 56th in FIFA's world rankings, with Pocognoli eager to get off on the right foot before Tuesday evening's clash against Switzerland at Hampden.

His first lineup includes debuts for Stephen Welsh and Robbie Ure, as Andy Robertson continues as captain.

SCOTLAND STARTING XI: Gunn, Hickey, Robertson, Welsh, McGinn, Gilmour, McBurnie, Ure, Hendry, McKenna, Ferguson.

SUBS: Kelly, Bain, Binks, Doig, Chrisitie, Miller, McPake, Gannon-Doak, Graham, Bowie, Patterson, Montgomery.

Kick-off in Ljubljana is at 2pm UK time, with the action live on BBC One Scotland.
