Season 3 of EA Sports WRC is almost here. That means there's going to be a new Rally Pass when the new season begins on February 13. That means players can look forward to a new set of customization items not only for their cars but also for the drivers.
The different customization items can be unlocked by earning XP in the game. Drivers get to unlock a maximum of 10 free items along with an additional five with EA Play. There's also an extra 15 for those with the VIP Rally Pass. This totals to 30 items spread across the whole season.
With the new season going live next week, it also means that there's little time left for players to complete Rally Pass Season 2 and unlock all of the rewards. Remember that once Season 3, all players are reset to Level 1.
Season of Moments
February 3 also marks the start of a new Season of Moments, which celebrates the history of WRC through daily challenges happening in-game. Since the real-world 2024 season has already started, Moments which are inspired by rallies this season are going to be available in-game about 1-2 weeks after each event.
Here are some of the Moments arriving for Season 3:
- A British Icon (Monte Carlo)
- During the 1964 Monte-Carlo rally, Paddy Hopkirk's win was so iconic it became one of the defining historic moments for the MINI Cooper S as a car. This win remains in rally folklore even to this day. The MINI Cooper S was unmatched in these icy conditions.
- Unlucky Moment (Chile)
- While on a charge Teemu Suininen damaged his steering badly and crashed out of the event.
- The Jack of All Trades (Mexico)
- The Ford Sierra Cosworth RS500 road car was modified for rallying and saw success early on in its career and in other racing series. In modern times the Ford Sierra Cosworth RS500 remains a true classic.
- A Defiant Monte-Carlo Defence (Monte Carlo)
- Erik Cais started the final day of the Rallye Automobile de Monte-Carlo 2022 with a 44.5 second lead and managed to maintain this lead to win.
- WRC Prototype (Sardinia)
- While the Volkswagen Polo 2017 never made it to international competition, it was tested extensively before the project ended. This surface type would have been part of the testing program had it continued.
