Gardaí have stood down the search for Ger O'Connell following the discovery of a body in Co Carlow.
Last month, gardaí sought assistance from the public in tracing the whereabouts of missing person Ger O’Connell, aged 61.
He had last been seen in the Graigcullen area of Carlow town in the early hours of Friday, January 6.

Ger was described as approximately 5ft 8, of thin/slight build with sandy hair and blue eyes.
His family said they were concerned for his wellbeing and had requested assistance from An Garda Síochána in locating him.
Last Saturday, February 11, the body of Ger O'Connell was discovered and the missing person appeal for him has since been stood down, authorities have confirmed.
A garda spokesperson said: "Following the discovery of a body of a man in County Carlow on Saturday 11th February 2023, the missing person appeal for Ger O'Connell has been stood down.
"An Garda Síochána would like to thank the media and the public for their assistance. No further media action is required and no further information is available at this time."
