Sean Dyche outlines key factor that gives Arsenal Premier League title advantage over Man City

Sean Dyche believes Arsenal have all the credentials to win the Premier League title after his Everton were comfortably beaten by the Gunners on Wednesday evening. Just a few weeks after the Toffees defeated the league leaders in Dyche's first game in charge, Arsenal got their revenge in emphatic fashion scoring four goals without reply.

Bukayo Saka and Martin Odegaard were on the scoresheet with Gabriel Martinelli scoring twice as Mikel Arteta's men opened up a five-point gap to title rivals Manchester City. The clash with Everton was Arsenal's game in hand over City and the victory sets them up nicely for the month of March where they welcome three bottom half teams to Emirates Stadium.

Following the Gunners' victory at King Power Stadium against Leicester, Brendan Rodgers gave his verdict on the title picture. "I think they are going to go very close, outstanding, the scoreboard was close but in terms of football and technical quality they were on a different level.

"Top young goalkeeper, back four solid, Zinchenko has done great, has that different dimension, his technical quality and strength. Two wingers top class , in particular, Saka. If they keep everyone fit, they would have got into the top four last year. This year the same."

Arsenal's performance against Everton in comparison to Leicester was very different. At Emirates Stadium, Arteta's side were at their ruthless best, while in Leicester it was a very dogged defensive performance that secured the points.

Like Rodgers, Everton boss Dyche was full of praise for the characteristics shown by Arsenal believing that there is one thing in particular that will guide the Gunners to the title over Man City.

He said: "Second half they showed what a side they are. I said to my players, 'what you've got to remember is it's not just about their ability'. At the end they're closing down, they're pressing, they save one off the line because they're throwing bodies at it.

"That's what wins titles. That's the feeling of a group that wins titles. I'm not saying they've won it by any means, Man City are fantastic but you look at their work ethic."
