Sean Dyche says Everton need to avoid collapsing in games after losing 4-1 against Newcastle United at Goodison Park on Thursday night.
Everton trailed by only one goal for the majority of the game until a quickfire treble from Joelinton, Callum Wilson and Jacob Murphy put the game to bed.
Dwight McNeil's 80th-minute strike merely proved to be a consolation as Everton remain second from bottom and two points adrift of safety with five games remaining. Dyche was "disappointed" by his side's response to going two goals down, and has urged his players to stay in games after conceding.

“I’m disappointed, very disappointed, in the end. I thought in the first half we did everything that I wanted. Other than conceding, we did everything that I thought was right for a performance against a good side in Newcastle," Dyche told reporters after the game.
"The mix of our play, the energy, the pressing. I thought it was all there other than the goal, which I thought we could have prevented earlier in the move.
"We scored a ‘near-goal’ with a fine bit of play just before half-time and then we started the second half bright. Then as soon as the second goes in, which is a really poor goal defensively, it is how quickly the game gets away and we can’t let that happen.
"It happened against Fulham, when the whole performance changed on one goal, and it happened again tonight so we have got to correct that very quickly.”
Leeds United sit three places and two points above Everton as it stands, and the Toffees have a crunch match against fellow relegation rivals Leicester City coming up on Monday night.
